It's the eve of my last night as President... we have had an incredible board of directors meeting. We are celebrating our past, our present and our future..
Orlando has always been given a bad rap of a "supplier heavy" chapter.. but no longer.. we are 541 billion strong and if you are not doing business with your back yard meeting planners who contribute to over 228 million in business to our home town and around the world, then I say to you... to get involved and understand what we are all about.
Tomorrow .... we have our 30th celebration 17 out of the 28 Presidents who have served are coming in town for the event. So very proud and honored to be among the wonderful people who have made us what we are.
Orlando - we are the number one destination in the world and maybe the number one convention destination with so many suppliers and planners who make your world be an enjoyable place.
Right now Jimmy Fallon is in the house.. Right now the world is looking at Harry Potter.. Right now our wonderful members are working so hard behind the scene to welcome the world to Orlando.
This is what we do, this is what we are... We have embraced it, we have loved it ,..... and without MPI members.. they couldn't be here...
I just want to thank all of our MPI members in Orlando and the surrounding areas for being a part of this great organization.
And to the board members who have served you this year... I want to shout out a special thank you... YOU ALL ROCK!
Please give your board a hand shake, a thank you and get involved.. we need your expertise to make this work.
My time as President is done. Mr. Chris Wezel is in a great place, he will lead this team and the membership to a new level.
