On Sunday, April 28, 2013 Variety Magazine & Commerce Casino hosted their first annual award show for The Asian Star of the Year award at the Commerce Casino
in Los Angeles, CA . We had a blast helping them with the event
lighting, and technical production elements of the award show. We
especially love working with event planner Heber Siqueiros Design who had an amazing vision for this event.
Guests arrived to Champagne Creative Group‘s
living carpet. Instead of a typical boring red carpet they choose to go
with a orange carpet that flowed off of a beautiful lady down the
hallway. Around the corner was a step & repeat for the stars to get
their press photos and interviews. We used Leko lighting on the orange
carpet out to the terrace with sponsors names in lights. Commerce Casino
has a wonderful roof terrace. Champagne Creative blew us away again
with a human chandelier dressed in traditional Asian clothing and
crystal chandelier looking strings flowing down around her. Guest
enjoyed wonderful appetizers from Commerce Casinos renowned chiefs.
Stars, guests, and press made their way into the grand ballroom that
was transformed with stunning event lighting & decor by J&M Entertainment. Doyle from My Flower Guy
did amazing job on the centerpieces with an array of beautiful orange
and yellow flowers. The set designer wanted the stage to be very
“Organic” with trees and lights.
Li BingBing was awarded the Asian Star of The Year for 2013. She most recently stared in Resident Evil: Retribution.
