The world famous lights in Piccadilly Circus, London, are a magnet for tourists from all over the globe. Everyday thousands of people point their cameras at this renowned digital landscape, making it an obvious platform for the likes of Samsung and Hyundai to showcase their brands.
Now, the Korea Tourism Organisation has got in on the act to celebrate 130 years of diplomatic ties between the UK and Korea, by embarking on an extensive advertising campaign. Part of this campaign uses the neon canvas of ‘Piccadilly Circus lights’ to cleverly morph the silhouette of London’s great landmarks with that of Seoul’s before transforming them into the ‘shaking hands’ of friendship and encouraging all viewers to ‘Recharge your energy’ by visiting Korea!
With ‘PSY’ featuring in one of the UK’s most watched programmes, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and Samsung, Hyundai and now the Korea Tourism Organisation featuring in the heart of Piccadilly Circus, Korea certainly has made major strides in the last 130 years.
