At 5ft 4inches tall, one would think that Finnair’s recent announcement that they are installing NEW fully flat seats (on most of their Long haul fleet), that are extra long 200cm (79inches) and extra-wide 58cm (23 Inches), would merit more than a passing glance. Wrong! Whilst I may not be of tall Nordic stock, for which these seats will come as particularly good news, the longer, wider and flatter the aircraft seat the more likely I am going to arrive ready to hit the floor running at my final destination. As a regular business traveller to North Asia this is of paramount importance. I also find it difficult to sleep at altitude full stop, so the more chance to do so is welcome and the expectation of today’s business traveller is to be fully flat.

Finnair also announced that as of 30 March, the airline has increased the number of flights it operates to London Heathrow from four to five times daily. The new frequency enables even greater flexibility for passengers flying between London Heathrow and Finland. Finnair also provides a fast route for UK travellers to destinations in China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
