Today I had the pleasure of hearing Michael Dominguez the past Chairman of MPI in our local Greater Orlando Chapter of MPI talk about the industry globally of how we may do business today and in the future. It was so enlightening to hear how we in our travel/meeting/hospitality industry has such an impact when the global events of the evil world is in the news.
The good news is... we prevail, we move people, events, and make companies, and associational and event family reunions connect on a local, regional and global level with the meaning of what they do... meet and have a purpose.
No matter if it is personal, virtual, or global connections, the point is... we need people in our lives to move us forward. Ideas, new initiatives, new ways of thinking and new ways to use the technology we have with us.
Least we forget the hugs, the handshakes and the connections to the new people who matter in our world. Starting from saying hello, welcome to our organization, and to our family or friends.
No matter how twitter, Facebook and linked-in gives us the tools... its the friendships, the hugs, kisses and the thanks that YOU matter.
I wish you all ...the future of meetings to connect to each otherr .... and say HELLO.
