What do "Professional" Speakers need to know to serve you better?

I thought I'd tap into this community...

I host an advanced Toastmasters group to support emerging and aspiring professional speakers. On the second Tuesday of each month (at 6:30 pm MT), I invite a subject matter expert to discuss and present aspects of the speaking industry that these members need to learn to build a successful speaking practice.

I know that when it comes to dealing with event professionals, some speakers have a lot to learn. From cold outreach to negotiations to, well... just "showing up and being present."

I was wondering if you'd be willing to share your experiences and suggestions for these relative newbies about what it takes to be the "easiest (and best) person to work with" when dealing with meeting planners and their needs? You know... a dos and don'ts to stay in your good books😉.

I am aiming for January 13th, 6:30 pm on zoom. This would be a 45 minute presentation, including Q&A.

    I welcome your thoughts.

P.S. I'd also love to do a future session on meeting trends (topics, visuals, presentation mechanics, etc), that could give these aspiring professionals some ideas.

    Thanks,

    Marc
