Hali Cooper, CMP is a 20+ year veteran of the hospitality industry. She began her career as a mail clerk at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. She has worked in almost all departments of hotel management including reservations, front office, catering, banquets, housekeeping and sales. She has held various hotel management positions with Hilton, Hyatt and InterContinental Hotels Group. Hali believes in giving back to the hospitality community and was Committee Chair for the Georgia Chapter of MPI's Educational Committee which was recognized as Committee of the Year. She has also received the prestigious Supplier of the Year award from her Georgia Chapter of MPI peers. Continuing her MPI career, Hali joined the Chicago Area Chapter and recently served as President for this largest chapter of the global organization.
Cooper has worked 4 years as an Association Conference Director specializing in contract negotiations and received the title Top 100 Meeting Planners to Watch from Convention South Magazine.
Hali has been an avid supporter of Education as an active participant in the Certified Meeting Professional's Conclave and was selected to assist with writing the curriculum for MPI's online CMP study program. Additionally she has had various speaking engagements with MPI CAC, MPI Mexico, PCMA and GSAE.
