I work for Arlington CVB (Dallas / Fort Worth) and manage the Austin Satellite office located in Austin, Texas. Arlington's location is right in the Heart of Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Our area is known for the being one of the largest concentrations of visitors attractions in the country with the original Six Flags theme park, Hurricane Harbor Water Park, Texas Rangers major league baseball and in the new home of Dallas Cowboys football with the completion of Arlington's newest event venue: Cowboys Stadium – Home of Super Bowl XLV in 2011. The majority of our hotels also offer free parking; free airport shuttle to DFW and Arlington visitors can also ride our complimentary shuttle to all of our area attractions, hotels and the Arlington Convention Center.
My role with Experience Arlington is working with Texas State Associations, State Government and Regional Associations. In addition to the Arlington CVB, I also serve as the Director of Advertising and Publications for the MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter which represents Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi Texas. The Texas Hill Country Chapter is one of three in Texas including Houston and DFW. I would strongly encourage anyone involved in MPI to find a way to plug in and get involved with your own chapter; there are so many levels of participation that can work with anyone’s time commitments. It’s a lot of fun and you’ll be glad you did!
