Brigitte studied Tourism and PR in Brussels and went straight into the travel Industry. She worked at the very beginning as a hostess for the city of Brussels but that only lasted one month. She went on to work for a variety of independent Travel agencies and got experiences in sales, reservations and operations.
She moved into the Meeting Industry in 1985 when being appointed as Operation Manager Incentives at Transcontinental in Brussels. In 1988 she joined Belgium International Travel where she held various responsible positions before becoming General Manager of their 3 corporate travel divisions. In 1996 she left to join German giant NUR and develop Neckermann Incentives.
In 2000 she decided to work independent and created her very own company @dmire.. Today @dmire is a leading and licensed service company that supports, develops and manages organizations in the strategic use of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events.
Brigitte is very active in industry related associations such as SITE, MPI, Febelux and Adme. She was Chapter President of MPI Belgium in 2004/2005 and served on the International Board of Directors for Site from 2009-2011.
She also serves on several advisory Boards For The MPI Belgium chapter she got elected as the Planner of the Year".2010.
Passionate about the meeting industry is her motto. Brigitte is a certified Meeting Professional , A Destination Management Certified Professional, a certified incentive specialist and is certified in Global Meeting Management.
